Shell Vacations LLC Ranked #85 in Chicago's Largest Privately Held Companies By Crain's Chicago Business
April 20, 2010

Crain's Chicago Business has named the Northbrook, Illinois-based Shell Vacations LLC to its prestigious listing of "Chicago's Largest Privately Held Companies" in its April 20 edition. Shell Vacations and affiliates were ranked #81 by Crain's, based on gross annual revenues in 2007 of $417.7 million. The company had 2,210 employees in North America in 2008.

Shell Vacations LLC Receives BBB National Accreditation

Shell Vacations LLC has received national accreditation by the Better Business Bureau ('BBB') with a rating of A+. Shell Vacations A+ rating represents BBB's degree of confidence the business is operating in a trustworthy manner and will make a good faith effort to resolve any customer concerns filed with the BBB. Shell Vacations LLC is the only organization in the category of timeshare to become system-wide accredited with the BBB.

2009 Better Business Bureau Torch Award for Marketplace Ethics - Shell Vacations LLC

2009 Paybefore Awards - Best B2B Corporate-Funded Prepaid Card

Paybefore announced the Shell Vacations Club PlayDeck Program as the 2009 Paybefore Awards winner in the Best B2B Corporate-Funded Prepaid Card category at the 2009 Prepaid Expo in Orlando, Florida. The annual Paybefore Awards are the oldest and most prestigious awards recognizing excellence in the worldwide prepaid and stored value card industry.

2006 ARDA Innovator Award - Shell Vacations Systems
April 18, 2006

The American Resort Development Association (ARDA) honored Shell Vacations Systems as the recipient of its 2006 ARDA Circle of Excellence (ACE) Innovator Award. The ACE Innovator Award recognizes a company or individual that has developed a groundbreaking product, service, or concept successfully. Shell Vacations Systems/Shell Vacations LLC was honored with the award for developing the industry's first franchise for a point-based vacation ownership product.

Chicago Area Entrepreneurship Hall Of Fame
February 25, 2004

Sheldon Ginsburg, CEO and co-founder of Shell Vacations LLC, was honored with his induction into the prestigious Chicago Area Entrepreneurship Hall of Fame on February 25, 2004.. He was one of four who were selected as "outstanding lifetime entrepreneurs" with others honored in different categories. According to the Institute, inductees must embody the spirit of Chicago area businesses, possess a determination to succeed, an unsurpassed commitment to excellence and the rare ability to meet challenges and recognize opportunities through innovation, pro activeness and risk taking.

2009 #1 Ranked Resort in Kona by TripAdvisor®'s Popularity Index - Holua Resort at Mauna Loa Village August 28, 2009

For the fourth consecutive month, Shell Vacations' Holua Resort at Mauna Loa Village in Kailua-Kona, Hawaii has maintained the number one ranked position on TripAdvisor's Popularity Index, based on consumer comments. The resort is ranked #1 out of 23 Kailua-Kona area hotels and resorts with a 4.5 rating. The TripAdvisor Popularity Index incorporates Traveler Ratings, guidebook entries, newspaper articles and other web content sources to determine traveler satisfaction.

2008 Management Team Appreciation Award - The Donatello

Shell Vacations Hospitality named the winner of its annual competition for the top management team within its company. Under the leadership of Trond Aakre, Area General Manager for The Donatello, located in San Francisco, CA, was honored with Shell Vacations Hospitality's Management Team Appreciation Award, the most prestigious recognition given to any of the management teams at the 19 resorts managed by the leading management organization. The winning management team is chosen based on internal comment card scores, exchange company ratings, results from employee surveys, and compliance with internal Shell Vacations Hospitality standards. The Donatello is an RCI Gold Crown property and a very popular destination for Shell Vacations Club members.

Currently in its second year, the list formally recognizes individual hotels worldwide that consistently deliver excellent service, a great overall experience and a notable value.

2008 Arizona Star of the Industry Award

The Arizona Hotel Lodging Association Arizona gives the Star of the Industry Award to outstanding individual employees working in the hospitality industry. The Orange Tree Golf Resort in Scottsdale, AZ employs recipients of the Arizona Star of the Industry Award.

2005 Gold ARDY Award - Desert Rose Resort®

Shell Vacations was the recipient of the prestigious Gold ARDY award for its interior conversion of the company's Desert Rose Resort® vacation ownership resort in Las Vegas, Nevada. The ARDY award was presented in the Conversion category for Shell Vacations' work in the total transformation of an existing hotel property and conversion to timeshare, or vacation ownership, guest units.

2004 Golf Digest "Great Service Facilities" - The Legacy Golf Resort

Readers of one of the nation's premier golf magazines rated Shell Vacations Legacy Golf Resort in Phoenix as one of the top courses in the country. In the 2004 annual survey completed by the readers of Golf Digest, The Legacy Golf Resort was rated as one of the top 50 "Great Service Facilities" in the United States. Additionally, the Legacy Golf Resort was named as one of only three "Great Service Facilities" in Arizona. The Legacy resort also made the list of "Good Pace of Play" courses, and was awarded "Four Stars" by Golf Digest. This reflected the highest rating in the 2004 survey.
